Meadowfield Pavilion
A long timber-roofed pavilion at rest in an English meadow, the building absorbed into the slow pace of the countryside.
A long timber-and-stone roof drawn quietly across an English meadow.
Using Cotswold Limestone, Slim Steel Columns, Warm Timber Soffit, Low-Iron Glass, the building speaks fluently with its surroundings. Dry-stacked stone, warm timber soffit, and slim steel columns sit comfortably alongside ancient hedgerow and pasture.
The roofline is the entire building. The meadow is the rest.
Settled into a small meadow in the Cotswolds, Meadowfield Pavilion was completed in 2024 as a private country retreat. The 290 m² pavilion stretches across 1 above ground on a 7,200 m² site, its long timber-clad roof reading as a careful intervention in the landscape.
